COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 1,745 new Covid-19 cases amidst seven more deaths.  
Locals continue to comprise the majority of new cases (59.5 percent), with most infections detected in the Klang Valley followed by Johor and Sarawak.
Active cases: 24,025
Intubated: 95
Active cases are still on a downtrend as recoveries continue to outpace new cases. There are no discernable trends in terms of those needing intensive care.
Almost 80 percent of new cases in Selangor were detected through existing clusters or contact tracing amidst the normalisation of contact tracing efforts. 
Deaths
Two deaths were reported in Kuala Lumpur. There was one each reported in Selangor, Sarawak, Sabah, Johor and Kelantan. ....

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 20 The Health Ministry has detected 16 new Covid-19 clusters, said Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah.
He said the clusters were located in Selangor, Sabah, Terengganu, Johor, Perak, Melaka, Negri Sembilan, KL Federal Territory and Pahang.
There are now 318 active clusters from the cumulative total of 685.
“The number of clusters which have been deemed as ended today is now 367, including three clusters which are the Jalan Domis cluster, Tinusa cluster and Delima cluster,” he said in a statement. ....

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 24 Malaysia has breached 100,000 cumulative Covid-19 cases on Christmas Eve, with a total of 1,581 new cases recorded today.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said Malaysia’s cumulative cases now stands at 100,318 cases.
Today’s figure meant that the number of active cases nationwide is currently at 18,773 while 102 patients have been admitted into intensive care wards, 45 of whom need breathing assistance. ....

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry today reported 1,581 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the cumulative cases to 100,318. 
Klang Valley accounted for 55.3 percent of new cases followed by Sabah (15.7) and Negeri Sembilan (9.1 percent).
In Selangor, there were 115 cases that were detected through other screenings . According to the state health department, 31 cases were detected among those with symptoms and another five were through voluntary screening. Learn more about other screenings here.

KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 23 The Ministry of Health today announced 1,348 new Covid-19 infections nationwide in the last 24 hours, driving up Malaysia’s cumulative cases to 98,737 since the pandemic started.
Malaysia saw 2,062 cases yesterday and 2,018 the day before. The cases first crossed the 2,000 mark on December 10 when it hit 2,234 in a single day.
However, the number of active cases nationwide is currently at 18,279 while 102 patients have been admitted into intensive care wards, 44 of whom need breathing assistance. ....
