Kota Kinabalu: The State Government acknowledges the plight of illegal immigrants needing aid. 
However, State Government assistance is only extended to Sabahans with citizenship as many locals required it. 
“The State Government, by principle, only provides assistance to those with citizen status.

“However, if non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and members of the public wish to provide assistance to illegal immigrants, the State Government will not forbid,” said Sabah’s Covid-19 Spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun

He was responding to reports of an increasing number of illegal immigrants (PTI) who have put up white flags around Kota Kinabalu seeking food and other basic necessities.  ....

Kuala Lumpur: Shops selling computers, telecommunication devices, books and stationery are allowed to operate for the duration of the National Recovery Plan (PPN), effective today (Friday).
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob
(pic), in a statement Thursday, said the special session of the National Security Council (MKN) on Thursday agreed to permit them to operate after taking into account feedback from students, parents and teachers.
“This is to ensure that teachers and students can conduct teaching and learning at home (PdPR) without interruption,” he said.

Ismail Sabri said the Covid-19 pandemic had changed the way of daily learning, and all educational institutions were now practising the PdPR system online. ....

I had stumbled upon New Ban Lee Restaurant via someone s social media account. What they excel in is making handmade noodles known as
sang mee. Similar to udon, the strands are thicker with a little more bite. The texture has a slight bounce, thanks to manipulating the dough rather than more artificial additives. ....

Police hunting for 54-year-old man who allegedly robbed senior citizen


GOMBAK: Police are looking for a 54-year-old man in a robbery case, where two men masqueraded as air-conditioning repairmen robbed a senior citizen on March 5.
Gombak OCPD Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe said that in the incident, two men had come to the house and identified themselves as air-conditioning repairmen and grabbed her necklace before running off.
“The 57-year-old complainant was contacted by a neighbour, saying that his mother has just been robbed at their home in Taman Ehsan, ” he added at a press conference on Monday (March 15).
He said that the follow-up investigation led to the arrest of a 58-year-old man on March 11 at Taman Putra, Ampang. ....
