Young neighbors watch partial solar eclipse at Challenger Learning Center

Dozens turned out to make the most of a memorable Monday as a partial solar eclipse passed over Tallahassee.

The Challenger Learning Center is providing learning and viewing opportunities during the solar eclipse in Tallahassee from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Monday, April 8.

The solar eclipse will be on display at Tallahassee's Challenger Learning Center

Tallahassee will get a partial view of the eclipse Monday afternoon, with the max time for viewing around 3 PM. Telescopes will be set up in Kleman Plaza.

All told in a 200 year period, Tallahassee has seen the sun go totally dark in 1918, 1970, and will again in 2045 and 2052.
