don t say gay bill. it prohibits gender identity through the third grade in florida s elementary schools. on march 7, chapek told employees as we ve seen time and again, corporate statements do very little to change outcomes or minds. instead, they re often weaponized by one side or the other to further divide and inflame. he said he did not want the company to become a political football. at that time, more than 150 companies had already signed a letter opposing the legislation. two days later, chapek changed course, amid widespread outrage from disney employees and fans. he called governor desantis to express disappointment with the law. on the same day at an annual shareholders meeting he said our originally approach no matter how much attention didn t quite get the job done. he further apologized at a town hall for staff on march 21. on march 28th, desantis signed the bill into law. we ve seen corporate activism, guns after parkland, social justice after george floyd. the

The people who stayed fell in love with the community and adopted it as their hometown. Many extremely wealthy people stayed at the hotter hotel. Potter hotel. We had this remarkable open beachfront. You will not find condominium apartments or hotels right on the beachfront. Its open public land because some of these people bought the land and gave it to the city so it would always the open for the public to enjoy. Over the years, tourism has changed dramatically. The original people who came her captive audiences. There were a lot of things created to keep them here and happy. Once the automobile came, people were free to stay and then take all. We had a more transient type of tourists coming. Now we have people coming just for the weekend. They can drive up and just spend a weekend. Other people came in for just a couple of days. Our biggest industry is tourism and rely on tourists to come here and tell their friends how great Santa Barbara was. Our city staff traveling to Santa Barb
