AMRITSAR: After Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s invitation to farmers for yet another round of discussions to resolve the issue of three controversial agri laws, the farmer leaders now expect the government to make the atmosphere conducive, by way of accepting some of their demands ahead of the 12th round of meeting.
While talking to TOI on Tuesday, state president of Zamhauri Kisan Sabha Satnam Singh Ajnala, currently camping in the Delhi border, said they were expecting the government to at least make a specific law on Minimum Support Price (MSP) and announce the same before next meeting.
“This will be one big step by the Modi government to win the hearts of farmers and earn their confidence ahead of next round of discussions with the government, “ said Ajnala adding that government should also consider their demand of ending punishment for stubble burning and farmers objections on Electricity (Amendment) Bill 2020 before holding a meeting with Syunkat Kisan Morcha (SKM) l
