Too much we re asking police officers i situations that they are not trained for, even equipped t handle and i think that some may argu that if the police are called, you re going to get policing what s your response to that well, first of all, thank you, it s good seeing you, symone let me say, this for years i have been saying tha oftentimes, many of our police agencies across the country in communities really have no adequately trained our polic officers to deal with mental health issues that they will come in contact with whe they re on the street. there are significant number of people throughout the communities across this countr who are struggling with mental illness. until we are better trained to do a better job training our officers, giving them the tool they, need an addition to that incorporating some civilia mental health certifie employees who in some of these cases can respond to these things that would take polic out of these interactions. only if there is some reason ....
