The low number of cases came up during Monday’s Board of Education meeting, when Superintendent Thomas Scarice and supervisor of health services Suzanne Levasseur proposed that there be no health update at the final board meeting of the season, which takes place June 14. “As our school and town cases of COVID-19 are so low and it is the end of the school year, we will likely not need to continue with a health update at BOE meetings during the summer months,” Levasseur said in an email. “As we prepare to reopen in the fall, we will look at current trends and certainly continue this if needed to keep our school commun

Graduation plans are still in the works, but it is currently scheduled for June 17 on the football field with a rain date of June 18. Prom will be next weekend.

She said she doesn’t expect the vaccine to change her behavior or plans at all. She will still follow all of the state’s COVID guidelines, and coaching doesn’t give her much time for plans outside of the pool.
