That will be a good alternate. The construction has been cleared at the lincoln tunnel.

We still have that entire area closed down. All traffics being diverted off the area, and you have a very heavy amount of traffic coming back all the way back to at least liberty avenue down into the area of jfk airport. If you have to go to the airport and catch a flight or pick somebody up, you want to think about that one. Fire Officials Say it took so many hours to get things under control because of all that water aboveground. Unfortunately the Flooding Condition was such that dep had a difficult time finding the exact gate valves to shut down, to isolate the problem area. Now buildings nearby had water restored by this afternoon. In the meantime subway and bus service was also disrupted for many hours today. It was spraying into the area gushing at least 8 feet or so. If you take a look at the building across the street, that is a mixed Residential Commercial building. Fire Officials Say that building was partially evacuated. That first floor is all commercial, those Business Owners were all taken out of there as you can imagine theres probably quite a bit of water damage inside there, and the electricity has been shut off because there are power lines in the cellar. If you look at the roof of that building, those residents are just hanging out because fire Officials Say they were not evacuated so theyre just going to wait this out. If you look down it may be hard to see with this fire truck. On the ground level you can get a sense of how deep this water is by looking at those trash cans and how high that water has come up there. Again, were on queens boulevard. Now we have some showers, but they are moving away. A drying breeze moves in for the afternoon. Temperatures are mild. Already well into the 50s.
