Children parliament best platform to hone leadership skills – DC Dimapur

Dimapur, Oct. 20 (EMN): The deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Sachin Jaiswal, stated that the children’s parliament is one of the best platforms for children to hone their leadership skills. Delivering the keynote address at the annual interface meeting and second general session of the District Children’s Parliament (DCP) held at Development Association of Nagaland (DAN) training centre on October 20, Jaiswal stated that children have a vital role to play in ensuring that the democratic system and values are upheld, an update from DAN stated. “Together with learning about their rights, the children have to understand the importance of their duties as the future of their communities and the country,” Jaiswal said. Peace Channel conducts 14th passion for excellence programme

Dimapur, July 23 (EMN): The Peace Channel organised the 14th Passion for Excellence, an inter-school programme for school students, on July 20 and 21 on the theme “Walk the talk.” An update from Peace Channel desk informed that the deputy commissioner of Dimapur, Sachin Jaiswal, in his inaugural address, spoke on the importance of young people as catalyst to promote peace in the society and encouraged the students to go beyond their clan, tribe, communities and religions to usher peace in the society.  Observing that there is a huge music talent in Nagaland and that public speaking is a major virtue among the youth, Jaiswal urged the students to avoid getting stagnant in the web of nepotism.
