KOTA KINABALU: Some 3,000 eggs of endangered turtles were seized by a police border patrol from a boatman who was trying to slip into Sandakan waters on Sabah’s east coast.
Sandakan General Operations Force (GOF) Battalion 15 commander Supt Toipi Lamat said the 31-year-old suspect was arrested after his boat was intercepted in the waters off Nunuyan Darat at about 8.30pm on Saturday.
He said they believed the suspect tried to slip in during the period for terawih prayers as he thought security forces would not be out on patrol. ....

KOTA KINABALU: Nearly RM700,000 worth of contraband liquor and cigarettes were seized by the General Operations Force (GOF) s Tiger platoon during a raid at a village in Sabah s central Tongod district.
Sandakan-based GOF battalion 15 commander Supt Toipi Lamat said on Monday (March 15) that they seized a total of 499 cartons of liquor and 4,560 packets of cigarette valued at RM693,108 during a raid at Kg Singah Mata at 8.10pm on Sunday (March 14).
However, there were no immediate arrests made and investigations are being carried out under the Customs Act 1967. ....

SANDAKAN: The General Operations Force (GOF) 15th Battalion seized a total of 4,560 packs believed to be contraband cigarettes and 499 cartons of liquor estimated to be worth RM693,108 in a raid on Saturday.
GOF 15 commanding officer Supt Toipi Lamat said the 8.10pm raid was conducted by the Tiger Platoon, in Kg Singgah Mata, Tongod .
He said a further investigation found that the location was also used as a transit point for contraband goods believed to be brought in from Kota Kinabalu before being sent and marketed in Beluran and here.

Also seized was a cargo truck where boxes of cigarettes believed to be smuggled were found, he said, adding that further investigations will be conducted under the Customs Act 1967. ....
