AFTER successfully completing courses for mounted horsemanship and canine handling, officers of the police mounted and canine branch are being encouraged to play a proactive role in community policing and outreach programmes.
A police media release on Friday reported that 14 officers from the unit completed the courses and were awarded for their efforts during a graduation ceremony at the branch’s St Joseph office.
