Yadav and other agents leaked the question papers of the Sub-Inspector s written examination at different places against monetary payments ranging from Rs. 15 Lakh to Rs. 30 Lakh.
After detecting bungling and fraud in written exams for the posts of Police Sub-Inspectors, FAA, and JEs, the government put the onus on DCs and SSPs to ensure free and fair exams in their respective districts.
Out of a total of 33 accused involved in this infamous scam, 20 have been arrested by CBI to date. Most of the accused are personnel from the belt forces.
A day after arresting one ASI of J&K Police, sleuths of CBI on Tuesday conducted raids at seven locations in J&K, Punjab, and Haryana in connection with the infamous scam.
