Illinois health officials reported 6,652 new COVID-19 cases and 88 deaths Thursday.
The total number of cases in Illinois now stands at 1,052,682, with a total of 17,928 deaths, since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Will and Kankakee counties are close to meeting the metrics to be able to come down from Tier 3 mitigations as early as Friday. But even so, indoor dining wouldn t allowed and there are renewed calls to change that. ....
