Was she used the tale of the drover s wife, which is very, very well known in australia, and used it as a trojan horse to tell a different story, to tell a story of aboriginal heritage, to tell a different story about the relationship between characters and the land, to tell a different story of heroism. now, obviously, i know you ve seen the film it s tough. there are things in it that are brutal and difficult, but i think it s the thing i like about it is, firstly, she s told this story many different ways, she told it as a stage show before and i think there s a she s written a version as well, and i think it has the sweep of a western, you get that real sense of the relationship between the land and the characters and the land, therefore, the heritage of the land. i think it s dramatically engaging, i do think that those characters are well played, i really liked the score, and don t know whether the score worked for you. i thought the score a bit heavy on the guitar a coup ....
