To avoid flooding on roads, BBMP installs metal gratings. Water seeps through the gratings and flows into the stormwater drains. However, civic body often encountered the problem of having to replace the steel gratings as they corrode over the years. After successful attempts with FRP gratings in Tender Sure roads, BBMP will now install all gratings with FRP material.
