Fire station among improvements planned for Jasper County community Jasper County Sun Times Jasper County officials say a new fire station is among millions of dollars in improvements set for the Church Road/Stiney Road area outside Hardeeville. After years of community forums and studies conducted by Lowcountry Council of Governments, the improvements are now underway. A ribbon-cutting/fire hose uncoupling ceremony was held Dec. 8 for the new Stiney Road Fire Station. Other improvements planned for the area include new sidewalks and drainage systems, the installation of security cameras and the demolition of abandoned buildings. The Stiney Road Fire Station is a 5,000-square foot, three-bay facility staffed 24 hours a day, according to Russell Wells, interim director of emergency services for Jasper County.
