As a destination for transfers, La Salle listed among âthe bestâ nationally
Faysal Faroik Coulibaly, â21, is a transfer student at La Salle Universityârecognized as one of the nationâs best colleges and universities for its proven outcomes for transfer students.
La Salle is the only Philadelphia university to make Phi Theta Kappaâs Transfer Honor Roll each year since 2016.
While making his college choice, Faysal Faroik Coulibaly, â21, considered several factors. A native of Burkina Faso, Coulibaly sought a university that would support international students. He factored in campus culture, too. And because the 23-year-old identifies as a religious student, it was important to find a university that embraced studentsâ faiths.
The list ranks academics based upon research citation metrics across all scientists and disciplines.
Two professors from La Salle University are ranked among the top scientists in their respective fields, according to a recent study published by Stanford University.
Madjid Tavana, Ph.D., professor of business systems and analytics, and Zane Robinson Wolf, Ph.D., professor of nursing, appear in Stanford’s ranking of worldwide academics.
The study by Stanford unveiled the top 2 percent of academics, after analysis of more than seven million scientists in 22 major fields over a 55-year period, between 1965–2019. The study reached its conclusions based upon standardized research citation metrics and authorship, among other data.

This month, the University unveiled three new academic programs that meet industry needs. “That (approach) fits exactly with the Lasallian mission of a practical education,” Steven F. Siconolfi, Ph.D., interim provost and vice president of academic affairs, said in an interview with Philadelphia Business Journal.
