i m going to go in reverse order. i think florida has been the source of most anxiety among folks watching this election. tell us what is going on in florida. what is going on with the black and hispanic vote. who is winning? it s one of the most complicated places in the country. it s hypercompetitive. this is a typical florida election. right now republicans and democrats early votes out of 5.8 million are separated by 10,000 votes. the good news is and president obama coming here has made a huge difference. on wednesday 40% of the voters who voted early on wednesday were either black or hispanic. as long as it keeps going in this direction we ll be in good shape by tuesday. i want to go through the maps quickly. all of them have florida in the mix in terms of being a state that looks like it is still open. the cnbc map shows hillary clinton at 274. but it shows that all of those
no voting history or just a little bit of voting history have voted more than republicans. so things like that are better indicators of where the electorate s going to end up than looking at a poll that shows a one-point movement here or there. it s one thing to watch every twist and turn, but watching those numbers rack up, top 30 million and keep on going in terms of early vote, the election s already under way, steve shale, thank you for your time tonight. good to see you. thank you, rachel. we ll be right back.

do you think that s the way to look at florida too? first of all almost every poll that s come out in the last three or four days has been within the margin of error of the other one. we have 50%, 55% of state already voted. we re seeing record hispanic turnout, very strong african-american turnout, 100,000 more democrats who have no voting history or just a little bit of voting history have voted more than republicans. so things like that are better indicators of where the electorate s going to end up than looking at a poll that shows a one-point movement here or there. it s one thing to watch every twist and turn, but watching those numbers rack up, top 30 million and keep on going in terms of early vote, the election s already under way, steve shale, thank you for your time tonight. good to see you. thank you, rachel. sfla we ll be right back. ake on,
voting. with 11 days left for the presidential campaigns, joining us is steve shale, the former state director for the obama 2008 and senior adviser for the obama 2012 campaigns. steve, thank you very much for joining us tonight. i want to take a quick look at the latest florida polls. we have hillary clinton at 43 with donald trump at 39 in the latest poll that s been released down there, another one yesterday, a floridaoll saying donald trump 45, hillary clinton 43. what s your guess about what the truth is right now in these polls? well, i mean, i think, lawrence, thanks for having me on. we ve seen six of the last 18 polls, clinton being ahead or tied. five of the last six, she s been up three or four points. the bloomberg poll was up, it s way too republican. so i think the three to four is
