An on-again, off-again debate is back in Grand Traverse County: how to improve east-west traffic. It’s been a contentious issue for years – even decades – but the Road Commission is again turning to the public for input on how to ease traffic congestion.
Over the years it’s been referred to by many names, including the Hammond-Hartman Corridor and “the bypass.” But now “The Boardman River Corridor Study” is focusing on three long-term alternatives to move traffic more smoothly and avoid congestion.
