LANCASTER - Please register to get a COVID-19 vaccine shot. That s the message Fairfield County officials want to get out and they may send postcards to every county address to do so. The county commissioners on Tuesday also talked about having commissioner Dave Levacy record a short phone message to send out about registering and getting vaccinated. He said that plan is not finalized, but that he wants to do something. Levacy, 75, has taken both doses of the vaccine and reported no side effects or other issues from it except for a sore arm. First of all, I think there s a little apprehension on a part of the population that feels it s not important or it could be dangerous, or whatever the issue may be, Levacy said. I willingly took the shot and I m happy to have received it. I personally feel a whole lot safer now and I also feel safer being around others. ....
