Gov. Gretchen Whitmer vetoed a bill that would have given tax breaks to companies that provide broadband service to underserved areas, which had the support of State Legislator Phil Green.
“This bill would have opened the door to telemedicine and remote learning and would have made working from home possible for workers forced to do their jobs from home,” Green said in a statement. “The governor claims internet access is among her highest priorities, but her actions prove otherwise.”
