SL1, a popular baby bald eagle (right) born to parents known as Dad and F420, died May 13 when the tree holding the eagles’ nest collapsed at Standley Lake Regional Park. The eaglet was not yet able to fly when the nest fell and will be buried in a sacred ceremony in a Rocky Mountain Arsenal location blessed by Colorado indigenous tribes.
