Thatcher, a retired editor and consultant, and husband Mayhew Seavey, an electrical engineer, are co-founders of Hager Homestead, a pioneering cohousing community to be built in historic Littleton. Thatcher got the idea when she lived in Denmark, where cohousing began. In January, Hager won approval from Littleton’s planning board to construct the first cohousing community for adults ages 55 and older in New England. ....
