seven months of disruption for the public before they agreed to get into a room, so the hope is that the lesson can be working with trade unions can deliver acceptable results to trade union members but also ones that work for the majority of the workforce and the government. let s move forwards and hope the next pay round is not as mired in difficulty. ijust i just heard from ijust heard from somewhere on a picket line in kent from the union unite, and we also heard that the rcn might be re balloting their members. do you have a message for the other nhs staff workers? i think it s important that all trade unions, we are all part of collective structures as well as individual trade unions, and that on our part, we need to acknowledge that it our part, we need to acknowledge thatitis our part, we need to acknowledge that it is not a unanimous position. i do struggle to remember a time when we have had unanimous positions on the staff side. it is very, very rare that you ....
Unprecedented Surprise Attack on israel, the likes of which this country is never seen since the Yom Kippur War that happened more than 50 years ago almost to the day, also happening on the jewish holiday. It is shabbat as well but since 6 30 this morning, sirens have been blaring across israel including here in jerusalem we had our fair share of Air Raid Sirens going off alerting us of incoming rockets. We heard several explosions ourselves overhead of either intersections or rockets making impact. Did you know there were some impacts made a Run Jerusalem . Sirens going off as far as tel aviv. Its been quieter in the last few hours, but just to give you a sense of scaled numbers we hear from the Israeli Militar ....

So people are resorting to come to the hospital to get tested. you laid the groundwork right there that staff workers are taxed. what is this doing to hospitals like the ones in which you work at where people are coming in to find out if they are even positive? it s a very difficult scenario. most of the testing centers in the area, people are waiting 12, 16 hours. i talked to people who said by the time they got to the front of the line, they ran out of tests. their ear ending up in the emergency room and again having to wait for long periods of times. emergency rooms, hospitals, we re not outfitted to do the type of testing that people need. but we also know we re the only option they have left. we re doing everything we can to test as many people as they can to get back to work and back to school. they can know they re safe to see family members. it s very difficult and all this comes back to our lack of infrastructure for the testing that we need. we ve seen all of these differen ....
In britain but i spoke to drjeremy faust for a more global perspective. he s an emergency physician in health policy and public health at brigham and women s hospital in boston. i asked just how prepared the us is for another wave of covid infections. i think our preparation is quite variable across this nation. there are some areas with a lot of vaccine coverage in the highest risk groups and there are areas where the virus is going to find out for itself or we will find out that we don t have enough protection. i think that we have done a good job in getting nursing homes vaccinated into the early phase but now we are seeing that flagging and we have seen that in a lot of cases, staff workers in nursing homes actually are not highly vaccinated. these are areas where our mistakes are going to come back to haunt us right now, so i would say i think we are in a very unusual situation which is that there are some parts of the country that might be experiencing something like a flu season ....
