Family & Children s Services to host Care for Yourself Challenge

Family & Children’s Services invites community members to join them in an eight-week virtual challenge to make self-care a priority and raise awareness about the importance of mental health as our community copes with the emotional and financial effects of the events of 2020.
“There s never been a more important time for self-care than this year” said Stacey Berg, director of clinical services at Family & Children’s Services. “We all have something that we want to make more time to do. Whether it is running, cooking, yoga, reading, knitting, meditating, painting, or another activity, doing what you enjoy or makes you feel better has real value in improving mental health and reducing stress. After eight weeks, it is possible that participants will have formed a new habit that could have a long-lasting impact on their well-being.” ....
