Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, senior TDP leader and former Union Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju allegedly manhandled a woman on the eve of International Women s Day.
A video, circulated widely on social media, shows Raju slapping the woman.
The incident took place in Vizianagaram when the TDP leader reached there to take part in an election campaign rally for the upcoming municipal elections in Andhra Pradesh.

Vijayawada: A spate of desecrations reported at temples in Andhra Pradesh has turned into a political slugfest, with opposition parties Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and BJP trying to corner the government of YSR Congress Party by accusing it of ‘betraying’ Hindus.
The police have not made any headway in finding connections in the spate of attacks, making the circumstances around the incidents more mysterious.

Endowments minister Vellampalli Srinivas justified the YCP government’s action against TDP leader and former Union minister Ashok Gajapati Raju. Ashok Gajapati Raju was removed from the post of chairman of Sri Rama Swamy Devasthanam located atop a hill near Ramatheertham in Vizianagaram district, after a 400-year-old idol in the ancient temple was desecrated by unidentified miscreants a few days ago. The idol’s head was separated from the torso and thrown in the temple lake.
