According to BDA chairman SR Vishwanath, shop owners in Indiranagar shopping complexes are yet to pay Rs 14.4 crore rent pending for the last few years. Similarly, a few shop owners from HSR layout have not paid rent amounting to Rs 10 crore. BDA officials claim that they are unable to collect the dues as a few defaulters have already vacated the premises and have provided wrong numbers and are untraceable.
