ShortFest to return in June as in-person event Palm Springs ShortFest is returning this summer as an in-theater event in 2021. The event will take place on June 22 to 28 at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. Passes go on sale on May 17. Tickets and the schedule of films will be available during the first week of June. Palm Springs International Film Society artistic director Liliana Rodriguez said in an email to The Desert Sun the festival has worked toward a safe return to the theatrical experience for more than a year. The safety of patrons, filmmakers and staff remain our priority and we ll be following all of the guidelines to ensure that the festival is not only enjoyable but as safe as can be, Rodriguez said. ....
