Firefighters battling blaze at Lower Swatara apartment building Updated Feb 03, 2021; Facebook Share Dauphin County firefighters are responding to a Wednesday afternoon fire at the Spring Street Gardens apartment complex in Lower Swatara Township, dispatchers said. County dispatch said the second-alarm fire was first reported around 12:30 p.m. on the 1000 block of North Spring Street, just outside Middletown Borough. There were no immediate reports of entrapment or injuries, dispatchers said. Roads are closed in the area as fire companies from the region respond. Photos from the scene show flames coming from one of the brick buildings. Officials are asking residents to avoid the areas of Spring Street and Grandview Avenue, Spring Street and West Roosevelt Avenue, and North Union Street due to ice. ....
