TARPON SPRINGS — The 117th edition of Tarpon Springs’ Epiphany celebration will “return to normal” on Jan. 6, according to event organizers, following two years of pandemic-related restrictions.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) has concluded a drawdown on Spring Bayou in Avoyelles Parish. The drawdown was initiated to reduce giant salvinia and Cuban bulrush and to reduce organic buildup on the lake bottom.
The Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries is responsible for managing and protecting Louisiana’s abundant natural resources. The department issues hunting, fishing, and trapping licenses, as well as boat titles and registrations.
