Demolition of the former Spartanburg City Hall building on West Broad Street is set to begin by May 6. The process will take about five weeks to complete.
More than 30 items were removed on April 3 from a 1961 time capsule that was located at the former Spartanburg City Hall building on West Broad Street.
The former Spartanburg City Hall building will be demolished this spring. A new city-county government complex will be built at the site at 145 W. Broad St.
By the end of 2024, high-speed internet expansion in underserved rural areas of Spartanburg County will reach more than 6,200 residents and cost $14 million.
