Prosecco bar among changes to Spalding s Hills Department Store | Updated: 08:16, 28 February 2021 The new owners of a popular Spalding department store have revealed some of the changes which await shoppers when it reopens in April. Scott Crowson, of the Coneys Clothing Stores in Lincoln and Boston, has bought Hills Department Store in Broad Street and has saved 25 jobs. The store has been undergoing some changes during lockdown and shoppers have a lot to look forward to when non-essential retail is allowed to reopen on April 12. Pizza art delivered in a box in and around the Spalding area in new initiative by Transported and Chris Lewis-Jones Artist Chris Lewis-Jones is running another art project for people in South Holland to enjoy. Working with the community-focused arts programme Transported, Chris will be delivering art materials in a pizza box to residents across the area. The idea behind the project, called âDrawing on the Domesticâ, is to get people trying new skills and to help combat isolation. He said: âThere are five activities inside and that could be doing a single drawing of objects or using frottage (like brass rubbings), combining it with a collage, poetry or whatever else they like. ....
KFC and Taco Bell planned for Spalding | Updated: 17:25, 22 February 2021 A KFC could finally be coming to Spalding if new plans are given the greenlight. Erindale Ltd has submitted plans to build a KFC along with a Taco Bell at the Lincs Gateway Business Park in Goodison road. Up to 60 new jobs could be created if South Holland District Council approves the application for a restaurant and drive-through takeaway on a site off the A16. Plans have been submitted for Taco Bell and KFC in Spalding (44519696) The Gateway project, created by Ashwood Homes, is hoped to bring 500 to 1,000 jobs over the next decade with the business park, which was granted planning permission in 2014.
