Depression takes toll on Nigerians amid COVID-19
One in three COVID-patients have neurological or psychiatric conditions
The Lancet Psychiatry, found that Caroline is not alone. Far from it, actually: Researchers went through electronic health records of more than 236,000 COVID-19 patients mostly from the US and found that one in three, or 34 percent, had been diagnosed with a psychiatric or neurological condition within six months of being infected with coronavirus.
Neurological conditions like stroke and dementia were rare, but 17 percent of COVID-patients were diagnosed with anxiety disorders and 14 percent with mood disorders like depression. The Oxford researchers also looked at two control groups of patients with influenza and patients with any respiratory tract infection (except for COVID) to make sure their numbers didn t just reflect the experience of the general public living through a pandemic. ....

The Flaming Lips add more OKC Space Bubble Concerts as demand remains high

Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne spent much of March 11, 2020, enveloped in one of his signature "Space Bubbles" and walking across an Oklahoma field to film a music video.
On March 11, 2021, he will be back in his oversized inflatable orb and so will his bandmates and a few hundred of their fans.
"It'll be exactly a year on March 11. That was the night that, you know, the Thunder game (that was canceled) happened here, and Tom Hanks announced that he had (COVID-19). . The very next day on March 12, we went into quarantine," Coyne recalled.
"So, it's funny that it'll be a year to the exact date that we play the next Space Bubble Concert that this all started. Unbelievable.
