good morning. sean: we are tracking snow had a their way. ve got floating day tomorrow. light fluffy snow with the wind blowing that around. come early afternoon. you can see it well to our south early this morning with the heaviest push-ups know locally, foot possible around cape cod. temperatures in the upper teens to the mid-20 s. it is going to be a very fluffy snow. while it isn t a lot of moisture, there is a potential of three to five inches. more wind and more accumulation deb: all the roads in new hampshire are moving well. we are not seeing any major problems as you start the morning the monday morning commute. from manchester to salem, you re looking at a 21-minute commute. 293 is moving well through the mill yard. we are not seeing any problems right now on the everett turnpike. all roads leading into and out of the boston area are also moving well and up to speed. dunkin donuts. erin: you can always get the school closings, delays and wmur.com. you c ....
thank you for starting your day with us. sean: good morning. we are tracking more snow headed our way and you can see we have several school announcements scrolling at the bottom of your screen including schools that are closed and letting out early. kevin: three to five inches of snow across most of the state. a lot of that falling this afternoon and this evening before tapering off. it will be light and fluffy. there is a good breeze. it is going to blow around easily and reduce visibility later this afternoon into the evening. it will arrive in southern parts of the state either side of lunchtime. in the north country, upper teens to mid 20 s today. snowfall picking up later this afternoon. three to five inches of snow over six possibility for southeastern spots. we are joined by deb davidson. deb: it does remain quiet on the major roads as you had to work this morning. we see minor delays on 93 north and south, right around hooksett at exit 10. use caution through ....
february 28th, i m amy coveno. we go on the air at this hour virginia. a police officer with ties to new hampshire has been killed in the line of duty. prince william county officer ashley guindon and two other officers were responding to a domestic-related incident when they arrived at the address. three officers were shot, guindon died from her injuries. news 9 confirmed merrimack police were called upon to notify her family in merrimack of her passing. officer guindon was just sworn into the police department this friday, this was her very first solo shift. the suspect was taken into custody. we ll bring you new developments as they happen. now, let s get a check of the forecast and you re talking another warm-up, josh. josh: yes, it s certainly going temperatures will be. on the seacoast, a milder start than the last couple of days, we re in the 30 s, as high as 36 and 37 in some warmer locations. you can see some breaks in the clouds already and you ll continue it ....
just watch out for the next couple of hours as these showers pass through the region. you can see them right now on our radar from southern new hampshire back to the north shore. down from worcester county and as far south as hartford, connecticut. there is some heavier bands coming through just south of boston, near brockton. you then it will be pushing along the south shore. a couple pockets of heavier rain up to the north towards lynne moving towards also the gloucester area. and then farther to the west you notice the showers start to thin out and become real spotty in nature. that is the trend. we are going to dry out through the day. it s associated with this cold front that is pushing through right now. temperaturewise, we re in the upper 40 s, low 50 s, even a few upper 50 s now on nantucket. and as we go through the next 12 hours, temperatures will begin to warm up especially as we dry out towards lunchtime. and then start to see breaks of sunshine through the ....
