Im on my way to meet a woman who wrote to me about her strange inheritance a piece of musical history with the most improbable tale of how she came to own it. My names Marlene Piturro. When my husband died, he left me a musical treasure along with clear marching orders on what he wanted done with it. [ gongs chiming ] hi, marlene. Hi, jamie. Come on in. Its so nice to meet you. As we settle in, marlene tells me about her harmonious first meeting with her husband, howard, a concert percussionist. It was love at first sight. Really . BBCNEWS Talking July 4, 2024

He did not commit. A man who was wrongly imprisoned for rape has welcomed a government decision to scrap rules which meant people who had been cleared by the courts could be charged for living costs incurred injail. I thought what is the justification for paying the Prison Service because they dont treat you well in prison, they really dont. You should lose your liberty, you shouldnt be tortured by them. I thought, to pay these people for doing what they are doing to me is the most sickening, horrifying, repugnant thing i could imagine. When you were speaking and made this po ....
