Print The Murchie Science Building Expansion ribbon-cutting ceremony took place this Thursday, adding 61,000 sq. ft. of collaborative spaces, flexible classrooms, state-of-the-art laboratories, and student-centered design to a campus building that originally opened its doors in 1988. The spaces and resources inside the MSB Expansion will revolutionize the STEM experience for all students at the University of Michigan-Flint. Thanks to UM-Flint s general education program, students studying in all disciplines take coursework in the natural sciences and technology, allowing the entire campus community to take advantage of this vibrant building. For students majoring in a STEM field, this new building is sure to quickly become a campus home, equally equipped for both intense studying and relaxing between classes. ....

December 18, 2020 at 10:00am The FIU Society of Physics Students (SPS) Chapter was recently recognized as a 2019-2020 Outstanding Chapter by the SPS National Council. This is the eighth time in the last nine years that the chapter has received the award. SPS is a professional association explicitly designed for students and their advisers. Membership, through collegiate chapters, is open to anyone interested in physics. The objective of the FIU SPS chapter is to “stimulate interest in the subject of physics and create an environment for the academic and social growth of the students therein, as well as get involved in the greater community of the Miami-Dade and Broward counties and encourage science and physics among underclassmen.” ....
Texas A&M Society of Physics Students Chapter Earns National Honor Dec 17, 2020 We have a very active chapter, with weekly meetings, guest lecturers, career panels, a social program and, of course, numerous outreach activities. Perhaps even more importantly, the SPS plays a crucial role in creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for undergraduate students in the department and helps them connect with their peers, graduate students and faculty.
