Millennials the most anxious generation ever? Gen Z says hold my soda – dpa international

The apparent fragility of today’s young adults is a tale almost as old as those it talks about. Several recent surveys suggest so-called Generation Z, or those currently between the ages of 18 and 26, are more likely to have mental health issues, are more likely to feel stressed at work and are less likely to be enthusiastic or motivated than older people. Some are likely even old enough to remember research labelling the so-called millennials who came before them as the "most anxious generation in history." Many of those millennials are now in or on the cusp of middle age and have not only been succeeded in youth by Generation Z, but, it seems, have been outdone when it comes to fretfulness. ....

<p>Two new studies based on data from 2009 to 2018 show that renters living along the East and Gulf coasts of the United States face rent increases, higher eviction rates, and a lack of affordable housing in the aftermath of a hurricane.
