saying their system is overloaded this year. they ll try to get the refunds out within the next two weeks. no guarantees. when the story flips, they don t get in trouble. i guess so. a rude awakening for a ninth grader in oklahoma. the student thought he was doing the right thing by snapping a photo of a substitute teacher sleeping on the job but instead, he was suspended. the picture was taken on a cell phone and then posted to facebook and another teacher saw it and reported the teen. the school released this statement. a student may possess a telecommunications device while on school premises but the use of a telecommunications device is not permitted during the school day. ok. but a sleeping teacher is? school officials plan to take appropriate action when it comes to that napping teacher but how would they have known about it without the camera? can t turn it on, though, the rules are the rules. did you grow up watching ferris bueler s day off? take it up baby twist

on monday the new egyptian parliament was seated. the first elected through democratic elections since the 50s. the military council partially lifted a three-decades-old state of emergency that gave security forces wide-ranging repressive powers. many here said that showed egypt as heading in the right direction and that the military council will eventually leave power. despite the varying opinions of where egypt stands one year after the revolution, there s one view shared by everyone in this crowd. this revolution is not yet over. alex marquardt, abc news, cairo. sometimes i think what egypt proves is that it s sometimes the easier part is getting the people out of power. it s changing the system. and building a democracy is going to be years if not decades for them to really do. but obviously the seeds have been planted and they re in the early stages of doing that. we like to see people being empowered, and we do take our democracy for granted so much here in the united stat
