They found that popular teenagers sleep up to 27 minutes less than their less popular peers &ndash; and that popular girls, but not boys, experience more insomnia symptoms. They also concluded their results were similar to a study conducted when smartphones were not yet common, which suggests that popular teenagers are unlikely to sleep less because of them.</p>
