KAFF News Flagstaff City Council Unanimously Approves Sky Cottages Project On Woody Mountain Road A new housing development, within a current development, was the focal point of last night’s Flagstaff City Council meeting. Council discussed a rezone for a proposed housing project. Vintage Partners requested the rezone of roughly 23 acres near Woody Mountain Road for the Sky Cottages at Timber Sky development. The Sky Cottages would consist of 202 one, and two story semi-detached units with amenities such as courtyards and electric vehicle charging stations. The proposed homes would be rentals, and community management would prohibit the sublease of homes and individual rooms. While the council received several emails from community members opposing the development, community members who attended the meeting by phone, all spoke in favor of it, citing a need for housing that entry level workers can afford.
