Arvind Joshi, noted Gujarati thespian and actor Sharman Joshi’s father, passed away due to age-related issues on Friday. He was 84.
Joshi’s sister-in-law and veteran actor Sarita Joshi said that Joshi died at around 3.30 am on Friday at the Nanavati Hospital here.

Veteran Gujarati theatre personality Arvind Joshi, actor Sharman Joshi s father, died at Mumbai s Nanavati Hospital in the early hours of Friday because of age related ailments. He was 84. New Delhi: Bollywood actor Paresh Rawal on Friday shared the news of the demise of Sharman Joshi’s father Arvind Joshi, who was a known entity in the Gujarati theatre and film industry sphere.
The veteran actor took to his Twitter handle and broke the news about the demise of Arvind. He wrote “Irreparable loss to Indian theatre; with grief we say goodbye to the noted actor Shri Arvind Joshi. A stalwart, a versatile actor, an accomplished thespian, are the words that come to mind when I think of his performances. My condolences to @TheShermanJoshi & family.AUM SHANTI.”

Theatre artist Arvind Joshi is no more. The thespian, who is also Sharman Joshi and Mansi Joshi s father, has passed away today in Mumbai s Nanavati Hospital, according to a report in Film Information.
The cause of his death has not been revealed yet. It is also not known when his last rites would be held. The actor has been a known name in the theatre circle and also the Gujrati theatre and film circle. In fact, Arvind Joshi had also been a part of Bollywood films like Ittefaq, Apmaan Ki Aag, and Sholay. He is now survived by his wife, and his children- Sharman Joshi and Mansi Joshi.

Arvind Joshi passed away at the age of 84. Arvind was a noted Gujarati thespian.
Reportedly, Arvind Joshi died at around 3.30 am on Friday in a Mumbai hospital. The veteran actor was suffering from neurological problems and chest pain.
He was cremated at Vile Parle Crematorium in the presence of his family.
Arvind is survived by his wife and actor-children Sharman and
Manasi Joshi Roy.
Several celebrities took to social media to mourn the loss of Arvind. Actor Paresh Rawal tweeted, “Irreparable loss to Indian theatre; with grief we say goodbye to the noted actor Shri Arvind Joshi.
