Louisa County still short 100 responses for planning and zoning questionnaire Jim Rudisill for The Hawk Eye WAPELLO Louisa County residents are not providing enough responses to a questionnaire being distributed as part of a comprehensive plan update, members of the Louisa County Planning and Zoning Commission agreed Tuesday during its monthly meeting. According to commission members and zoning administrator Brian Thye, representatives of the Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission, which is conducting the research for Louisa County’s updated 2040 Plan, had hoped to receive at least 300 responses back from the questionnaire. However, LCPZC Chair Michael Vance said Tuesday that when he last talked with SEIRPC Assistant Director Zack James, who is spearheading the research, only about 200 responses had been received. ....
Planning and zoning public input survey for Louisa County nears rollout Jim Rudisill for The Hawk Eye WAPELLO Distribution of a public survey that will be used to help develop an updated comprehensive plan for Louisa County could begin next week, members of the Louisa County Planning and Zoning Commission learned Tuesday during its monthly meeting. Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission Assistant Director Zack James outlined the development status of the county’s 2040 Plan and presented a sample survey for the LCPZC to review. “The survey is about ready to go,” James said, explaining 372 of the forms must be returned to provide a representative sample of the county’s 11,169 residents. ....
