Louisa County still short 100 responses for planning and zoning questionnaire

WAPELLO Louisa County residents are not providing enough responses to a questionnaire being distributed as part of a comprehensive plan update, members of the Louisa County Planning and Zoning Commission agreed Tuesday during its monthly meeting.
According to commission members and zoning administrator Brian Thye, representatives of the Southeast Iowa Regional Planning Commission, which is conducting the research for Louisa County’s updated 2040 Plan, had hoped to receive at least 300 responses back from the questionnaire.
However, LCPZC Chair Michael Vance said Tuesday that when he last talked with SEIRPC Assistant Director Zack James, who is spearheading the research, only about 200 responses had been received. ....
