Right there is the Police Cruiser that the officer was driving at 60th and spruce, riddled with bullets. The Police Commissioner says it is amazing that officer is alive. Take a closer look at the car. As i tell you what went down. 11 40 last night,p officer Jesse Hartnett was in uniform driving a marked car when a man started firing a gun into the drivers side window. He was able to get close enough at one point to get in the car with his gun and start shooting at the officer inside the vehicle. The Police Commissioner says at least 13 rounds were fired at the officer before he managed to get shots off at the suspect himself. Other officers managed to catch the guy down the road and commissioner ross not a week into the job says this was an ambush.
