Murals celebrate diversity and creativity in Pittsfield

“These murals are all gems,” mural project co-steward and event organizer Kamaar Taliaferro said. “To me, we’re lucky to be in a community like the Berkshires where there is natural beauty. But there is also beauty when it comes to a community like Pittsfield.”

Immigrant art collective uses art to take residents on a journey

“The idea to form Katunemo was that I wanted to find a way to form a group that would support each other and their cultures,” Katunemo art collective founder Marina Dominguez told The Berkshire Edge. “I wanted to get into the journey of healing through art."
