Senate Standing Committee on Interior, which met here at the Parliament House with Senator Mohsin Aziz in the chair, said that those involved must be punished so that such incidents are not repeated. SSP Investigation Attaur Rehman told committee members that seven out of the eight suspects including the main one were in police custody and efforts are underway to arrest the last one. ....
Operation against illegal cattle markets July 15, 2021 Islamabad : Under the supervision of Syeda Shafaq Hashmi, administrator of Metropolitan Corporation on the instructions of CDA Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed, the District Municipal Administration launched an operation against the illegal sale of animals outside the approved cattle markets in the city. Syeda Shafaq Hashmi has formed teams under his supervision, which are conducting operations at various centers and highways in Islamabad on a daily basis. DMA Director said that no one is allowed to campaign illegally and without NOC. Similarly, illegal occupants and stall holders in markets including green belts are warned to move voluntarily or else we will take legal action and the place will be vacated. ....

In his tweet on Saturday, he appreciated Deputy Commissioner Islamabad Hamza Shafqaat and Chief Metropolitan Officer Shafaq Hashmi for timely action. Both the officers on the directive of Chief Commissioner and Chairman CDA Amer Ali Ahmed visited the national park and supervised an operation. “Bahut shukriya @ShafaqHashmi PAS @hamzashafqaat @dcislamabad for your commendable concern & action.
