Operation against illegal cattle markets

Islamabad : Under the supervision of Syeda Shafaq Hashmi, administrator of Metropolitan Corporation on the instructions of CDA Chairman Amir Ali Ahmed, the District Municipal Administration launched an operation against the illegal sale of animals outside the approved cattle markets in the city.
Syeda Shafaq Hashmi has formed teams under his supervision, which are conducting operations at various centers and highways in Islamabad on a daily basis.
DMA Director said that no one is allowed to campaign illegally and without NOC.
Similarly, illegal occupants and stall holders in markets including green belts are warned to move voluntarily or else we will take legal action and the place will be vacated.
3 sacrificial animals markets in capital, 10 in Rawalpindi

Islamabad : The Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) has set up three markets in the outskirts of the federal capital to allow sale and purchase of sacrificial animals ahead of Eidul Azha.
The sale points were established in suburban areas including Bhara Kahu, Taramri, and Tarnol in compliance with the anti-coronavirus standard operating procedures (SOPs) issued by the district administration to curb the virus spread, MCI Administrator Syeda Shafaq Hashmi told this agency.
“It is the responsibility of MCI to provide opportunity to citizens of Islamabad to perform their religious duties along with safety measures,” she noted.
Library on wheels launched in capital

Islamabad : A new precedent has been set to promote friendship with books in Islamabad, as Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Amer Ali Ahmed inaugurated the first official library on wheels in the city on Saturday.
The project has been launched by the Libraries Department of Chief Commissioner Office on special directions of Amer Ali Ahmed.
Director General ICT, Syeda Shafaq Hashmi is leading the effort of bringing back book-reading culture in the capital.
