His sentence had been on hold as he appealed the ruling. joining us here on set msnbc legal analyst danny cevallos. let s start with bannon. july 1st he s been sentenced to appear in prison, but his team says they re going to appeal again, so walk us through what that appeals process looks like, how long it could take, and when bannon might actually start his sentence. i think he will start his sentence in july. that s pretty typical. in fact, it helps you with your sentencing time to get a turn in date instead of being remanded that day or midday of your sentencing hearing. so that turn in date will probably be the real date. there s very little at this point. on the first level when you move to stay a sentence pending appeal, that s what bannon got on the first time around. the appeal now is little more of a long shot, but that first appeal the two major grounds are you have to have a relatively short sentence, which is a rarity in federal court, and you have to have a real repeala ....
