FIREFIGHTERS were called to a flooded field yesterday afternoon (Saturday) after two women ended up stuck in the mud. Crews from Cosham and Waterlooville came to the women’s aid who had become stuck in a field between Closewood Road and Furzeley Golf Course in Denmead. Watch manager Craig Sadler from Cosham Fire Station said: “We have just rescued two lovely ladies from the mud in Denmead, please take care when walking across flooded fields. We would love to get their walking sticks back to them.” One of the ladies is understood to have been up to her knees in mud. ....
Crews from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service tackled a devastating blaze at a house in Whiteley this morning after the roof of the property caught fire. Firefighters from Hightown, Fareham, Botley St Mary s, Portchester and Cosham tackled the fire for over three hours, after being called just after 3am this morning. In a tweet, HFRS confirmed that fortunately no-one was hurt. A DOG was rescued by firefighters after getting stuck in a rabbit hole in Ringwood. Toby, a 12-year-old Jack Russell, had to be dug out by firefighters from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service on Wednesday, February 10. Animal rescue advisor Dave Allen and firefighters from Ringwood were called to the incident in Gorley Road at around 5.30pm A spokesperson for Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service said: A 12-year-old Jack Russell, called Toby, had got stuck after running underground into a rabbit hole and could be heard barking for help. Firefighters dug around the area until Toby was found and he was safely reunited with his owner. ....
