On April 28, 2021, the Naval School Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) Marine Corps Detachment held a retirement ceremony for Master Gunnery Sergeant Ryan R. Glau at the EOD Memorial wall, marking the close of a 24-year career of service in the United States Marine Corps. At the ceremony, he was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
